Mikah's Magical 5th

In the heart of winter, on December 5th,

A birthday party was held that's hard to resist.

For young Mikah, who was turning five,

Her parents planned a magical surprise.

Tee Tee, her mother, was filled with delight,

As she carefully planned for the special night.

Dylan, her father, took care of the cake,

A magnificent creation that took hours to make.

As the guests arrived, Mikah's eyes grew wide,

Her friends were all there, beaming with pride.

And to her delight, there were toys and gifts,

A world of wonder that gave her spirits a lift.

But the magic didn't stop there, oh no,

For Mikah's imagination was set to grow.

As the night went on, things became surreal,

And soon the party had an otherworldly feel.

With the power of her mind and a little bit of luck,

Mikah's toys came alive, even rubber “quacking” like a duck.

Monkeys swung from the ceiling, giraffes roamed the floor,

And elephants trumpeted as they crashed through the door.

The children laughed and danced, filled with glee,

As the magical world took them on a journey.

But as the night came to a close, and Mikah went to bed,

She was left with a feeling, that would not escape her head.

For now, she realized the true power of her mind,

And the world that she imagined was one of a kind.

As she drifted off to sleep, her dreams took flight,

Filled with wonder and magic throughout the night.

In the end, Mikah's birthday party was truly divine,

A celebration of creativity that will forever shine.

And as she grows older, she'll look back on that night,

Filled with joy and wonder, and memories of delight. 

A Birthday Toast to My Love Eric

On a winter's day, I raised a glass to you, Eric, my dear,

As we celebrated your birthday, another year,

Twenty-four, the age you turned, so young and free,

Yet already wise beyond your years, that I can see.

I looked around at the scene before me,

Friends and family, gathered in harmony,

The room was filled with warmth, laughter and cheer,

As we celebrated the man who was so very dear.

Your presence alone lit up the room,

Your smile, your laugh, like a bright bloom,

You moved through the space with such grace,

A gentleman, a scholar, so kind with every pace.

I remembered back to the day we first met,

I knew right then, you were someone I'd never forget,

And now here we are, another year on the clock,

Together we stand strong, our heart’s in lock.

The air was filled with the scent of fresh flowers,

And the sound of music, played for hours,

The feast was divine, a true gastronomic delight,

A table so grand, it was quite a sight.

We laughed and talked, and danced through the night,

Each moment with you, my heart taking flight,

With every passing hour, I fell more in love,

Grateful to the heavens, and God above.

As the night drew to a close, I took your hand,

My love for you, endless as grains of sand,

With you by my side, my soul feels complete,

Eric, my love, you truly can't be beat.

Here's to you, my love, on your special day,

As you blow out the candles on your cake, I just say:

“May every wish you make come true,

And know that I'll always stand by you.

In the years to come, may you continue to grow,

And know that wherever life may go,

I'll always be here, by your side,

Forever and always, my love, my pride.”
